One of the great thrills of ultrasound is that at the right time we can show and tell you the sex of your baby.

Sexing scans can be done with nearly 100% accuracy from about 16 weeks of gestation.
You may book your appointment at any stage - but a good time may be after your 12-week NHS dating scan.
Please book early to avoid disappointment, especially for Saturdays.
We like to take good care of our customers so all appointments last about 30 minutes from start to finish and include:
- a short welcoming talk by way of introduction to the procedure
- a 15-minute time-slot including a 10-minute scan
- about 5 minutes afterwards to choose your favourite pictures and print 2 photographs (with optional USB memory stick)
It is quite unusual for it to happen but if for any reason we are unable to see the sex of your baby during your session we offer one more scan free of charge.

When booking on-line, the service user must state what the gestation of the pregnancy will be on the day of the appointment.

Ultrasound Best will take the information provided by the patient at face value and in good faith.
If it transpires during the examination that the pregnancy is not at the stage advised by the patient but that she is in fact presenting at a gestation under 15 weeks, the Company may not be able to determine the sex of the baby.
Ultrasound Best will not offer a free re-scan for patients who present earlier than the minimum of 15 weeks.
TWINS
Standard Package price for Twins is £48 and it includes a longer 20-25-minute scan because twins always need more time. We also advise mums of twins to come before 24 weeks because two babies have less womb which makes scanning more challenging. We can undertake scans up to 28 weeks, but please be aware that this will me much more difficult to confirm the sex.
Cancel up to 7 days before the day of the appointment and the deposit is 100% refundable.
Cancel between 6 and 3 days before the appointment and 50% of the deposit is refundable.
Cancel 2 days or less before the appointment – the deposit is not refundable.
The quality of the visual result of the scan is dependent on the stage of pregnancy, the size and position of the baby, the volume of amniotic fluid and the amount of tissue (skin, muscle, etc) between the ultrasound probe and the foetus in the womb. A good image cannot always be obtained.
