| Clients must be aged 18+ by the date of their appointment in order to receive any scan from Ultrasound Best. Photo ID will be required for all scans to verify age. Failure to provide age verification may result in your scan being refused, and the scan fee forfeited. | |
| Payment | |
| USB accepts payment in cash, by credit or debit card, or by cheque with banker’s guarantee card | |
| Cancellations | |
| For appointments cancelled up to 7 days before the day of the appointment the deposit will be 100% refundable. For cancellations between 6 and 3 days before the appointment 50% of the deposit is refundable. If a cancellation is made 2 days or less before the appointment the deposit will be forfeited. | |
| Deposits | |
| If the customer books an appointment but does not pay a deposit to secure it, USB reserves the right to sell the appointment to another customer at any time within 7 days prior to the appointment. | |
| Quality of Results | |
| The quality of the images and associated photographs of the ultrasound scan is dependent on the size and position of the baby, the volume of amniotic fluid and the amount of tissue (skin, muscle, etc) between the ultrasound probe and the foetus in the womb. A good image is almost always obtained but it cannot be guaranteed. | |
| Early Pregnancy Scans | |
| Prior to the appointment, through the Company website or by telephone USB will ask the customer her gestation or calculate it based on information provided, specifically the start date of the last menstrual period and the cycle length. USB will take the information provided by the service user at face value and in good faith. If it transpires during the examination that the pregnancy is not at the stage indicated by the service user and in fact that she is presenting at a gestation under 7 weeks, the Company may not be able to provide the full service nor be able to achieve a successful determination of the status of the pregnancy. Please note, as the appointment slot is assigned and a service will be provided USB does not offer free re-scans for service users who come for an early pregnancy scan before 7 weeks. | |
| Gender Scans | |
| If for any reason USB is not able to get pictures good enough to determine the sex of the baby during the first session the Company will arrange another session free of charge. If it proves impossible to determine the sex after 14 weeks and after 2 attempts, USB will refund 50% of the full fee, for the failure to get a result. The £10.00 deposit will be retained to cover a part of the costs of providing the service. The full amount is payable if the sex is determined even if the images and associated photographs are disappointing. | |
| 3D4D/HD Scans | |
| If for any reason USB is not able to get satisfactory pictures during the first session the Company will offer/provide a free re-scan. If it proves impossible to get a satisfactory result after 2 attempts, USB will refund 50% of the full fee, for the failure to get a result. The £10.00 deposit will be retained to cover a part of the costs of providing the service. | |
| Acceptance of Terms Á Conditions | |
| All clients will be required to acknowledge and sign a hard copy of the Terms Á Conditions in relation to their chosen scan upon attending their appointment. | |
| Comments, Feedback and Complaints | |
| USB welcome the feedback of service users and will always take all feedback seriously and in good faith. Service users are encouraged to provide feedback via e-mail to book@ultrasoundbest.co.uk or in hard copy via post. The Company will seek to respond within a maximum of 48 hours of receipt of any such communication. | |
